Two adults and two children can enjoy a fun family day out at Kents Cavern, one of the most important Stone Age cave sites in Europe and Britain's premier prehistoric cave. For thousands of years the cave was home to ancient humans, sheltering from extreme weather, making fires, shaping stone tools and hunting wild Ice Age predators. You will be taken back to these ancient times as you walk through the extensive labyrinth of caverns surrounded by spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations.
Your experience will start with a guided tour, led by entertaining guides, concluding in an underground exhibition chamber. Outside there is plenty to entertain the family with a Stone Age woodland trail, indoor kids-archaeological dig area and hands-on cave art areas. The attraction has a superb gift shop, excellent restaurant and relaxing gardens.
Customers turn up on the day with their voucher; there is no need to pre-book. Please check the website or call ahead to check availability as occasionally they have weddings there. You must present a valid voucher.
Sensible footwear is advised due to the nature of the cave environment.
