Fancy something a little different for your next family day out? Gather the whole clan together, pull on some comfy walking shoes and set out for a memorable day out with this treasure hunt experience. Whether you want to see your local area through a different lens or take in a new city, our treasure hunt packs will provide you with hours of fun.
How it works:
Once you’ve purchased your activity voucher, a PDF pack with your scavenger hunt clues will be sent to you. You can choose from two different sets of hints:
● The easy clues are perfect for all ages. These straightforward hints ask for something you should be able to easily observe on your treasure hunt, such as information from a plaque along the way.
● The cryptic clues pose more of a challenge and are perfect for older participants. They might ask for something harder to spot, require some general knowledge, or read more as a riddle than a straightforward question.
In addition to these two sets of clues, you will also receive three bonus rounds that you can go through alongside the main hints:
● Picture round - this round requires you take pictures of certain places and objects you encounter on your treasure hunt.
● Items to collect - this is a list of everyday objects you’ll be able to gather along the scavenger hunt route.
● Pub names - available at locations where there are enough pubs around, these cryptic clues refer to the names of pubs and bars you’ll pass on your way.
Once you’ve received your treasure hunt pack, choose which clues you want to follow and print them off for everyone participating.
The scavenger hunt can be completed in a number of locations throughout England, including several treasure trails in London. Please keep in mind that this activity isn’t organised. You’ll receive your pack of treasure hunt clues by email and complete the experience on the day of your choice.
Treasure hunts in London and other cities can be completed on foot, while rural ones require driving. All of the rural scavenger hunts, as well as the majority of city-based ones are non-circular, so they will have a different start and end point.

Afterwards enter the museum of torture, which features instruments from Nuremburg and Bamburg castles in Germany and date from the late 1500’s and early 1600’s.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your tour guide, before embarking on your tour.
Journey back in time to London Bridge, the place law abiding citizens dared not visit.
You’ll be able to discover the Bishop of Winchester's "Geese" who provided entertainment in the various stew houses and where their final resting place is. Hear about the gruesome operations which were performed without anaesthetic in the world's oldest operating theatre and the ghosts who still appear to linger in England's oldest prison. Visit the 17th century pub which is still haunted by a canine ghost who can’t seem to leave.
It’s sure to be a night to remember.
As an added extra you will also receive a £10 gift voucher for any future tours.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your tour guide before departing on your tour. You will cover approximately 2km around London.

Spun Candy opened their first store in Covent Garden, London during the Summer of 2013. Since then they have opened a masterclass store in Spitalfields, London and opened franchise stores in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat.
This experience starts with a warm welcome and a drink of still or sparkling water or squash for all the participants. Then it’s time for the part that everyone has been waiting for, when the children put on their aprons and get stuck into working with the sweet stuff.
The workshop is led by someone who may have every child’s dream job: an expert confectioner who spends all day up to their elbows in sweets, sugar and flavourings making candy creations that are designed to be delicious. They will explain how the candies are made and give the children some insight into the science behind the sweets.
The process of heating up the sugar until it is a syrupy goo is fascinating and then there’s the addition of flavourings and different colours which make it come to life. The children will get to make their own rainbow coloured sweets and be able to ask any questions they may have about the process.
At the end of the session, each child will be presented with a certificate to confirm that they have mastered the art of making candy, and of course take home the lollipop that they made along with a special goody bag containing a personalised lollipop and a 100g jar of Birthday Mix sweets as well.

6th Gear Driving Experiences, Bruntingthrope, Leicestershire
Hannah from Purchasing, July 2019
My 12 year old Nephew Connor couldn’t believe his luck when I asked if he fancied driving a supercar round Bruntingthorpe race track. He’s always loved cars so it really was the perfect experience for him. We turned up 30 minutes before our time slot (thank goodness we did because the queue to register our attendance was really long.) Once we were registered we went and took advantage of all the picture opportunities available with the cars parked in the background. When it was Connor’s time to drive we were taken in a minibus over to a section of the track that had been sectioned off specifically for Junior drivers. Connor had chosen to drive a red Ferrari 430. After a short briefing the roar of the engine went up and he was off. He went up and down the track 4 times going in and out of cones and then picking up speed coming back along the straight. Once his experience was finished we were offered the opportunity to purchase some professional photos, we’d taken so many of our own that we decided not to but it’s nice to get the option. This experience was brilliant, really well organised, friendly, patient staff. Would definitely recommend.
Make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare, the queue for registration was out the door when we arrived so you could run the risk of missing your time slot if you don’t get there early.

Jacki from Sales, September 2018
I took my 11 year old daughter and two of her friends; however it would be suitable and great fun for groups with multiple cars and varying ages competing against each other.
The girls used the ‘Easy/Family’ and ‘Picture’ questions. These questions were challenging enough for them and at times I did have to give them a clue!
It was a beautiful day and they loved walking around the villages looking for the answers. They took turns to read the clues / write the answers and our rule was the person sitting in the front of the car was responsible for reading the clues and directions to the next village.
The experience lasted approximately 3 hours and we visited 3 villages in total. However there were some beautiful coffee shops, tea room and pubs on route and depending how competitive you want to make it you could easily spend all day exploring.
The girls had a fun afternoon and for us it was a great school holiday activity. We didn’t use the Adult/Cryptic and Cryptic Pub Name and Bonus Items so I could organise a second hunt with a group of adult friends and family.
Get organised with clipboard, pens etc. maybe take some snacks in the car! Read the organisers pack and familiarise yourself with the route beforehand. On the team answer sheet they ask you to write an emergency contact number – good idea if doing this in small groups against each other.
I had this bought for me as a Christmas gift and at the age of 42 expected it to be full of kids, which it was, but I didn''t feel out of place as there was plenty of other aduults there. I was surprised how much we did as part of a beginner session and they allowed us to go on certain walls on our own so ended up being there much longer than expected. Would love to go back, the prices were very reasonable.

My daughter and I went along to the ghost tour one evening as part of our visit to London. We all met outside the designated pub and the guy running the tour was absolutely lovely! He is an actor by trade and relayed stories and historical information along the way in a friendly, fun and enjoyable way. We walked over London Bridge to Southwick and we all got to stop off for a break in a gorgeous pub where there was entertainment outside and the atmosphere was wonderful, we could quite happily have spent the rest of the evening there! You could feel the emotion of some of the sites we visited and even on a beautiful summers day, the presence of the past was tangible. I should imagine the whole atmosphere must be a lot more intense on a cool dark winters night! When we finished at Guys Hospital (an emotional moment for me as my dad started off his career there!) it felt like it had gone too quickly and we could have carried on longer! My only wish was that we could have gone in the Clink museum that we pass along the way, I think it would have added greatly to the atmosphere and made it last that little bit longer that it felt it needed. But it’s definitely somewhere worth noting to visit in addition to the tour. Overall it was an enjoyable and interesting evening, we made friends with other people on the tour and I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about participating in!

Got the experience as a birthday present last year and finally got around to booking it! Although the weather was against us it made the walk all the more atmospheric. As someone who has been raised in and around London I still learnt lots of new interesting facts and our tour guide did a fantastic job sharing her knowledge and passion for history and all things spooky with us! Would 100% recommend
