Watercolour painting day
Discover your painting skills at a professional artist’s studio. With a little tuition you will be amazed what you can achieve!
The programme is run as a small group with the tutor teaching by demonstrating the skills required. The classes take place in an artist’s studio or, if weather permits and depending on the venue, at an outside location. You will have a break during the day for a relaxing sociable lunch.
Garden design course
Spend a day with one of the country's leading designers
In the morning learn about the principles of garden design including plants and planting from an experienced gardening professional. A light lunch will follow and in the afternoon enjoy a stroll around a stately garden looking at features and design ideas. There will be an opportunity mid afternoon for your questions to be answered and to discuss your own gardens and problems.
Chocolate cookery course
Enjoy a day of pure indulgence cooking with chocolate. Double chocolate éclair, chocolate roulade, chocolate meringue gateaux, chocolate and Grand Marnier truffle torte and hand-made chocolates are amongst some of the favourites being covered. The fantastic chefs will ensure that you leave feeling confident to re-create these dishes in the comfort of your own kitchen. You will be provided with lunch, coffee, soft drinks and afternoon tea.
Indian cookery course
On this Indian cookery course you will cover traditional Indian recipes, covering topics such as party dishes, vegetarian main courses and some exciting and unusual side dishes. The use of spices and aromatic herbs will be explained in full so that you feel that you can season with confidence. Guests will be guided through a hands-on cookery session, as well as benefiting from a comprehensive demonstration from your experience teacher. You will be provided with lunch, coffee, soft drinks and tea.
