You'll be "wet fly" fishing - this means that you are using a fly travelling through the water to attract the fish. It's much more of a skill than "course fishing", but easier to learn than "dry fly fishing". This is a great opportunity to try your hand at one of life's more serene activities.

Falconry - Half Day
This is a fascinating introduction to an ancient and intriguing pursuit. It is extraordinary watching the relationship between man and bird of prey - when we visited one supplier, his bird actually bowed to him! - the product of many years' training. This is an unforgettable opportunity to handle some magnificent birds of prey.
You will be given an overview of the disciplines and history of falconry by one of the country's best falconers, followed by a brief introduction to the husbandry and welfare of birds and the equipment used in falconry. The course will end with the opportunity to fly a bird "to the fist" so you can experience the unforgettable sensation of having a magnificent bird of prey on your arm. Programmes vary depending on location.

Experience the grace of sailing, combined with the thrill of motor racing, with this popular and highly entertaining sport. Imagine yourself sitting a few inches from the ground and racing across the sand at speeds of up to (and over) 40mph with no brakes!
After an initial briefing, you'll experience your first sail at low speed and you'll practise how to stop your land yacht too! You'll then progress to a figure of eight course learning safe, controlled turns. If you show good control at this level, you can go on to learn a more difficult manoeuvre called a gybe turn. It's fantastic fun!

Microlighting
Microlighting perfectly captures the spirit of early aviation - pioneering, thrilling and a touch eccentric. These quirky little aircraft, with their panoramic views from the cockpit, are ideal for short trips over the countryside. This is a great way to fly on a fine summer's day! Our instructors will give you a thorough briefing and then take you on a trial flying lesson. We are sure you will end up as enthusiastic as they are!
You will be given a detailed briefing from your instructor, which includes how to use dual controls, how to enter the aircraft and pre-take off checks. You then take to the sky, climbing to up to 1500 feet above ground level in a flexwing (open cockpit) or fixed wing (closed cockpit - similar to a mini plane) aircraft (please state preference at time of booking). The instructor will demonstrate the controls and then, if the instructor is happy, the controls will be passed to you. Happy flying!

Brush up your golfing skills by having a lesson with a golf professional and then put into practice what you have learned by playing a round at one of Marriott's Hotel and Country Clubs around the country.
Tea/coffee are available on request on arrival. Your first part of the activity will be a lesson with one of the clubs professionals. The lesson will consist of an introduction to the game and equipment and can cover all aspects of your long game (i.e. using woods, driver and irons) and your short game (practice for chipping, pitching and putting - all carried out on dedicated practice areas). What starts out as an addictive hobby quickly becomes a competitive sport. It’s not surprising that clay pigeon shooting is one of the country’s fastest growing sports.
If you have never shot before, this activity gives you an introduction to the sport of formal clay shooting. If you already shoot, the hour will be based around your requirements and will be tailor made by the Chief instructor, so that you can use the time effectively to brush up on your techniques. The lesson includes the use of a shotgun and 50 cartridges and clays. For every 25 shots over and above the 50, the cost is approximately £8.50 per 25.

Gyroplanes Flying Lesson
There are manoeuvres that a Gyroplane can do that other aircraft must not do, though they share the same basic controls as a fixed wing aeroplane - stick, throttle, and rudder pedals - Gyroplanes have significant differences. Gyroplanes are significantly more manoeuvrable than a fixed wing aeroplane, and so give a thrilling and unique experience to any adrenaline junkie!
After a short introduction and familiarisation with the aircraft, you will be fitted with flying suits, crash helmets and head sets. Due to the capabilities of gyros they can withstand most weather conditions. After the safety belts are secured, you will be taxied out from the hangar and airborne within a few moments. During your flight you will climb to an altitude of about eight hundred feet and be given the opportunity to take the aircraft controls (weather permitting).
This experience is available Monday to Sunday, throughout the year, although April to September is best.
Your flight will last approximately 30 minutes.

We can't promise you chart topping success, but we will record you singing the track of your dreams and help you get the best out of your voice. Together with a professional record producer and the helpful team, you can enjoy a real taste of how it feels to be a superstar for a day.
On arrival at the studio, a professional sound engineer will help you select a backing track for your recording. We recommend that you sing a known track, rather than your own composition. After setting up the equipment and discussing the project, the recording session starts. The vocals will be put on last and, depending on the experience of the participant, there should be enough time to "mix" the song and add final touches. At the end of the day you will take home your song on CD or audio cassette.

Sailing on a Thames Barge for Two
Turn back the clock and enjoy a great day out on a vintage Thames barge.
You and your partner will have a relaxing day out on these historic vessels, with the emphasis being on enjoying the scenery, the good food and the thrill of seeing these large vessels under sail. It is not a high activity centre although you can become involved in hoisting sails and steering if you wish. Time spent at the controls will depend on the skipper, weather, location, number of passengers and individual enthusiasm.

Test your nerve racing the funky, fast-cornering and much-loved MINI. These speed hungry, small but mighty machines will do 0-60 in five seconds and are able to exceed speeds of 130mph!
The session normally starts with an introduction and safety briefing. Then onto the circuit for the driving action! After receiving demonstration laps in the MINI Cooper with your instructor you will then take to the wheel with the instructor by your side. To finish you will experience a high speed passenger ride.

White Water Orca
Negotiate the rapids using a two man inflatable raft.
You'll be met by your guide and kitted up in wetsuits, waterproof jackets, buoyancy aids and helmets. After a whitewater safety brief you'll be introduced to the Orca inflatable and your Orca paddle partner.
Once on the water the calmer sections of the river are used to practice the skills which will be needed later in the day when some of the harder rapids are attempted.
The guide will be on the river with the clients to offer advice and instruction throughout the session, though in his/her own kayak or on the bank.
The Orca adventure is the ideal step on from white water rafting and for those looking for a different white water adventure.

Fancy driving something really big? Well, this is your chance to have a driving lesson in a massive articulated juggernaut - this'll be a real test of strength and determination to see if you can handle this giant. This is a real driving challenge, because this articulated lorry is probably the largest thing you're ever going to drive!
This is a superb chance to take the wheel of a mighty fifty five foot long articulated lorry and trailer on a huge area of private tarmac roads, with road markings, roundabouts, T-junctions, slalom courses etc. There is expert friendly tuition from instructors who will take you through a structured course. When you come to reversing - now that's a challenge! There's also a 16-speed splitter gearbox to master. You will share your driving with other drivers and your friends and family may be able to watch and video your course from inside the cab depending on numbers.

If you've ever fancied yourself as the next James Bond then our Spy Academy experience is for you! You'll learn the essential skills required to conduct a secret agent operation during an action packed 3 hours at the Spy Headquarters. You'll be shown how to use specialist spy equipment, covert cameras and UHF radios, bugs and listening devices, and lock picking gadgets.
You'll be taught how to use a pistol, the Secret Agents weapon of choice, and then test your skills with quick draw techniques.
You'll fire machine guns on our Close Quarter Battle area, apply precision through the powerful telescopic sight of our sniper rifles (all legal air-powered), and try your skill at axe throwing.
Finally you'll also receive some expert instruction on un-armed combat techniques, useful when you're cornered by enemy agents, and learn contact drills using our state of the art laser combat system.

We have carefully selected the best off road driving locations in the country to give you the opportunity to do some seriously challenging driving in beautiful, yet challenging locations. You'll learn lots of fascinating driving techniques - such as hill starts, driving through mud and vehicle control on steep slopes. An amazing experience for anyone that likes a bit of the rough stuff!
Your session begins with an introductory briefing on off-roading techniques, together with an explanation of four-wheel-drive systems. The instructor will do a demonstration drive and then it's time for you to take the wheel!

Be a Virtual Soldier
With this virtual soldier experience you will be taken to the very edge of the Battlefield experience in the most realistic combat simulation available.
Using the MoD infra-red beam training system, codename 'Headhunter', troops will be armed with an SA80 rifle which fires an invisible and safe beam at the same velocity as a 5.56mm bullet. You eliminate your enemy by hitting sensors located in the helmet and rig, which will sound an alarm and render their weapon inoperable.
If you become a casualty you are out of the action only for as long as it takes for you to get to the Company Aid Post, there you will be electronically resuscitated and sent back in!
During your time in the virtual soldier combat zone ammunition is unlimited and you reload from an electronic ammo dump. The SA80 rifle holds 64 rounds (2 magazines) each load and the fully automatic LSW80 holds 8 magazines with a 5 second time delay between loading mags.
As troopers you will undertake a number of true life manoeuvres which will develop your infantry skills. All engagements incorporate battlefield pyrotechnic effects and some will use armoured vehicles.
NB Virtual Soldier is not paintball or quasar, it is a genuine opportunity to experience true-life combat manoeuvres - not for the faint hearted!

Lotus Elise Thrill
If you wish to experience the power and refined road handling of a true sports car, then the Lotus Elise experience is for you.
You can learn advanced driving skills and techniques in a car that not only has thrilling handling characteristics but is also a British manufacturing legend with true motor sport heritage.You'll be under the watchful eye of a fully qualified instructor, who will sit alongside you throughout the experience and help develop your skills.
Your day will begin with a welcome, introduction and briefing on circuit driving techniques. You will then receive familiarisation laps with your instructor. This is followed by a session in a Lotus Elise. To finish you will get a white knuckle high speed passenger lap before being presented with a commemorative certificate.
This experience is available on selected weekdays and weekends, March to November.
Your experience will last for approximately 2-3 hours.
The minimum age is 18 yrs old.

Full Day Kayak and Canoe Experience
You will get the opportunity to paddle both an open Canadian canoe and a Kayak down the river enjoying the thrill of powering yourself through the water.
The action takes place on the River Leam - an ideal location for both complete beginners and those with some experience. Your instructor will discuss any previous experience with you and the group to tailor the session to give everyone an enjoyable time on the water. During the session you can expect to learn some of the basics of kayaking and canoeing and enjoy a river trip.
Following registration at the boat centre you will meet your instructor. They will then fit you with your equipment, including buoyancy aid; cag (waterproof canoeing top), boat and paddle (spray decks are available for experienced paddlers). The kayaks and canoes are very stable and designed for tuition so you are unlikely to fall out unless you try very hard! A full safety briefing and explanation in the use of the equipment is provided before going onto the water. You will be taught how to control the boat so you can enjoy a river trip up through the Victorian Gardens & into the nature reserve. You may well play some games to test your new skills!

Need something with a bit extra, well a 300ft bungee jump will do just that!
A crane will winch you to a height of 300ft - the highest available jump in the UK before you are dispatched and experience over four seconds of freefall. A fantastic experience and one you will not forget. With your feet still firmly on the ground, you will be weighed and be brought up to speed on safety procedures. You will be fitted with your harnesses before being winched up in the cage with a jump master. Once he's convinced everything is okay, it will be "3-2-1 BUNGEE" and off you go!

Tank Paintball Battles
Tank driving would be most people's idea of fun, but imagine the thrill of actually taking part in a tank battle - not with live ammunition, but with paint!!
Take it in turns as part of a three-man crew to negotiate a tricky tank course set in a world war II bombing range. Your tank of choice will be a unique 17 tonne FV432 armoured personnel carrier, with specially modified cannons capable of firing 40mm paint rounds.
Under the guidance of your on-board instructor you will get the opportunity to drive the tank, aim the cannon, load the breach and fire the air powered cannon. To get you into your role as an artillery man (or woman) you will be issued with radio headsets, kevlar helmets, tank suits and gloves. Once you are able to successfully operate the tank, the hatches are closed and you are free to engage in full on armoured warfare against an opposing team using only your periscopes to guide you! Aim and fire!
