Sailing Expedition on Bala Lake

If you're visiting Wales and want a good way to relax, then a visit to Bala Lake is a must. It is the largest natural body of water in Wales and the waters of the lake are famous for their depth and clarity. It's also a haven for marine wildlife. During your trip your captain will teach you some basic sailing techniques as you travel around the lake whilst also pointing out any wildlife along the way. Bala Lake is a perfect example of the beauty that hides within Wales.

Your experience will begin with you meeting your captain for the experience. You will be sailing on Brenwen, a six person sailing boat, around the lake. Your captain will speak to you about the lake, its history and the weather station that sits in the middle of the lake. Remember to take your camera as there are plenty of photo opportunities.

This experience is available Monday to Sunday, from May to October

How long does this activity last?

This experience will last approximately 2½ hours.

There is no minimum age.
There are no fitness requirements.
There are no qualifications required.
