Have a night to remember as you enjoy a glorious summer's evening of fine music and entertainment complete with a spectacular firework display. All concerts are picnic style and set in the grounds of one of the UK's most historic and beautiful country houses or castles, creating a majestic environment in which to enjoy a superb evening of entertainment. Featuring a full piece orchestra you are guaranteed an evening of superb popular classics and movie themes, alongside all the traditional flag-waving favourites associated with the Last Night of the Proms, such as Rule Britannia, 1812 Overture, Jerusalem and Land Of Hope & Glory. At selected locations you'll see breathtaking pyrotechnics, for example, cannons firing and Napoleonic cavalry displays. Many of the concerts also feature an aerial display by an original WWII Spitfire, as the orchestra performs rousing music such as the Dambusters Theme (check for details on booking). And for the finale sit back and enjoy the spectacular fireworks. This is truely the perfect way to enjoy a magical summer's evening you will never forget!
For safety reasons please note barbecues, garden flares and pets are not permitted. Most people bring a picnic although public catering is available. There is no seating at these concerts so please bring along rugs or garden chairs. The use of recording equipment is prohibited and please allow sufficient time to park your car as no vehicles are allowed on the concert area.

Battle proms

Best present ever! My sister bought this for me last year and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. I even got to sing with the choir!:D
Battle Proms at Highclere was fantastic!

I was given the summer concert for two present, and we chose to go to the Battle Proms at Highclere castle. The evening was warm, the music fantastic and the setting spectacular. The picnics were of another level too! What a great night out. Very weather dependent though, we were lucky.

What a really fabulous treat this was, I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my hubbie. Get there in plenty of time and take chairs and picnic and anything else you lie really. It gets dark so a candle / torch is useful. Wrap up warm for the sun going down and enjoy. The spitfire was superb, the music awesome and the fireworks a real spectacle.
The only negative was we understood we had an area of seating reserved but htis was not the case but it didn't detract from a great night out. The walk from the car park is a bit rough underfoot so wear sensible footwear.
