Entrance to Cairngorm Reindeer Centre for Two

Take a visit to the UK's only herd of reindeer roaming freely around the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. These extremely tame and friendly animals are a joy to all who come and see them. There are currently around 150 reindeer in the wild and approximately 50 of them are ranging freely in the Cairngorm Mountains. They're very beautiful and gentle and you'll find they have similar traits to humans. It won't take you long to realise that they belong in the wild and should be protected. Not only will you get to meet these reindeer, you're also entitled to one year’s adoption of one of the centre's reindeer.

This voucher entitles two adults entry to the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre and one years adoption of one of the centres reindeer. You can only visit the reindeer under supervision. Visits take place once a day in the winter and twice a day in the summer. The trip itself involves a short drive in your own car followed by a 20 minute walk onto the hill. It is a hill walk so the path is rough underfoot. During your walk you will get to choose which reindeer you wish to adopt, then the adoption pack will be sent to you. Your adoption includes a certificate and photograph of your chosen reindeer, additional information on reindeer and souvenirs along with two newsletters over the year.

When can you go?

This experience is available Monday to Sunday, throughout the year. Closed mid Jan to mid Feb.

How long does this activity last?

The daily visits last approximately 1½ hours and the adoption is valid for one year.

There is a lot of walking involved.
There are no qualifications required.
